    Solution for Extra Storage of Parallel Network

    Solution for extra storage of parallel network adopts distributed operating system to integrate the storage room in multi-physical storage equipments a storage pond providing unified access and management interface for application server (Unified namespace). Application can manage all the disks on physical storage equipments at the rear-end storage pond very easily through the access interface so as to give full play the equipment performance and disks utilization rate. Data can be stored and read from multi-storing equipments by adopting load-balancing philosophy with a view to obtaining higher storage performance. This solution has the following characteristics.

    Open Architecture (High expansibility)
    Additional storage system of parallel network includes storage node, front-end network and rear-end network. Each factor can easily adopt newest technology in the industry while it does not change the framework of cluster storage. Expansion of storage like erecting building blocks is very convenient. Especially for users who have difficulty in predicting the data increasing trend, they can buy some parts initially for storage. Add randomly in demand and the using of the present storage will not be affected.

    Distributing operation system
    All operations of storage system are unified dispatched and distributed through distributing operating system. They are completed by distributing to all storage nodes of storing system. Advantages of distributing operation system lies in no differences among nodes, no primary and secondary nodes and functional differences among nodes, completely same functions of all storage nodes, which can guarantee the optimum performance.

    Unified namespace
    Unified namespace stresses the unified namespace under a same file system which can also support above PB-level. If mounting some volumes with space upper limit to a root directory for unified namespace, its efficiency and performance occurring storage hot spots will greatly lower the above PB-level storage space to the unified namespace managing by a same file system.

    Manageability
    Provide a centralized, simple and convenient management way without any influence to clients. Adopt standard access storage system of access agreement in the industry (like NFS, CIFS)

    Load balance
    Realize load balance at the front end and back end through distributing operation system. The operation of front-end access storage system distributes access to all storage nodes through several types of load balancing ways. Back-end access data can distribute on all nodes for storing and reading through open framework and back-end network.

    High performance
    The application in high bandwidth and high concurrent access boasts performance superior to the traditional framework. Meanwhile, the applications on high IOPS, random access, trivial file access, backup and filing and other types of files are characterized by high performance.
